Made for Game Off 2019, theme: Leaps and Bound

The game is a SHMUP with leaping mechanics.  The character is a magical girl fighting an invasion of alien cats - the character only shoots every time it leaps. 

Controls:

• Left and right arrow keys to move, up to jump/shoot
• Holding up can let you hover-jump
• Esc to pause

I wish I could do more - but I was surprisingly busy last month, so I could only make this much. There are still some more that I want to put into this game, but time has run out.

Note: From Dec 7 to Dec 10, an updated version with a background and hover-jump mechanic was uploaded. I didn't read the FAQ and thought I could still update the game a little. From Dec 10 onward the game has been reverted to the condition it was originally uploaded in when the submission period ended; with just one small bug fix: The power up initial velocity when dropped has been reduced. In the original version the initial left-ward velocity was way too big.
